Rewards

One of the incentives on my diet plan is non-food rewards. To make it more interesting, I tied in the rewards and weight loss to an anniversary style list so that you reward yourself as you reach each benchmark:

1 Pound – Paper (Journal to record your progress)

5 Pounds – Wood (Wooden spoon to stir your grilled vegetables)

10 Pounds – Crystal (Goblets or paperweight)

20 Pounds – China (Coffee mug for your desk or kitchen)

25 Pounds – Silver (Bracelet)

30 Pounds – Pearl (Open an oyster with a pearl inside)

40 Pounds – Ruby (Earrings)

50 Pounds – Gold (Ring)

60 Pounds – Coral (Find a piece during a seaside weekend getaway)

70 Pounds – Watch or Fitbit

80 Pounds – Birthstone (Ankle Bracelet)

90 Pounds – Sapphire (Necklace)

100 Pounds – Diamond (Pinkie Ring)

If you lose more than 100 pounds – you deserve whatever you want! And if your budget won’t stretch to jewelry or a watch, pick a gold sweater, a maroon scarf, or make your own list – but don’t forget to celebrate your success with tangible symbols that will remind you to pat yourself on the back for a job well done! You will need these reminders when you are on a maintenance routine so you will never forget to hold onto the progress you have made! Celebrate every step of the way and celebrate you!
